Background
The genesis of this Retreat Center is founded in dedicated, constant efforts and pure, loving sustenance since 1965. The first meditation center in north-western suburbs of Mumbai was located at Kandivali, and the expansion of the altruistic endeavours was unstoppable. Just as one illumined candle can light another, ignited minds joined hands to spread the Light of divine wisdom. From the early days, the little sapling progressively grew into a vast expanse, with the establishment of more and more branch centers. The ‘spiritual family’ multiplied, and recognised the need for a central place which could offer a tranquil, serene environment, conducive for meditation and relaxation. 'Prabhu Upvan' is the fruit of this well-nurtured, supremely nourished spiritual tree; it is a testimony of the noble cooperation of thousands of spiritual students inclined towards world-transformation.
